Nicole Becker, Holistic Yoga Therapist
Heartfulness Meditation Teacher
Stability in the silent stillness of the Self is the real asana.
Be steady in that real posture.
~ Sri Ramana Maharshi
Nicole draws on 30 years of dedicated practice in yoga, meditation, somatic healing, world religions. Her academic background includes college-level studies in anatomy, physiology, herbalism, horticultural therapy, and deep ecology. With a dual BA/BS in Cultural Anthropology and Environmental Sciences from UC Berkeley, she focuses on what she calls inner habitat restoration. She believes that both personal and planetary healing arise from the same conditions: attunement, alignment, and devoted reconnection to nature and our true essence.
In 2010, Nicole founded Ojas Yoga Center (now evolved into Centered in the Heart), where she has been teaching therapeutic yoga and somatic exploration for more than two decades. Her approach is simultaneously simple and refined—accessible to everyone, yet deeply transformative. She invites each student to discover “your Yoga,” blending traditional yoga, modern somatic exploration, developmental movement, meditative inquiry, and laughter. Her teaching encourages curiosity, compassion, and an embodied path to wholeness.
Nicole is a certified Heartfulness Meditation Teacher, trained by Ruth and Bruce Davis of Silent Stay Retreats, with whom she has taught in California, Bali, and Italy since 2015. As part of this interfaith teaching team, she brings a grounded, heart-centered presence to those seeking silence, healing, and renewal.
A mother of two young adults, Nicole makes her home in the San Francisco Bay Area. Through Centered in the Heart, she shares classes, workshops, retreats, and embodiment coaching both online and in person. Learn more at www.centeredintheheart.org.
